Some people seek help for specific reasons, such as underlying feelings of depression, anxiety, dissatisfaction in work, marriage, or in the couple or an inability to form satisfactory relationships. Some people want to explore a lack of purpose and meaninglessness in their lives. Others are seriously concerned about recreating and repeating the past in actions arising in the present. Naming, and identifying shadow characteristics, which influence and structure our lives and understanding the role of symbols to work through and resolve psychological tensions are all aspect of the analytic process.
Fees are discussed and agreed before treatment begins.
My competence and experience
Qualified Psychoanalyst, Training Analyst and Senior Member of the Australia and New Zealand Society of Jungian Analysts (ANZSJA).
I trained at the Association of Jungian Analysts in London and before that obtained an MA in Jungian and Post Jungian Studies from the University of Essex (UK) and a Post Graduate Certificate from University of Sheffield (UK) in Existential Philosophy and Psychotherapy; I have a Diploma in Parent and Infant Mental Health from the University of Melbourne. Also, an Accredited and Certified Mediator with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London) and a fully qualified lawyer- LL. B (Hons) and Bachelor of Jurisprudence (Monash University).
Registered and Accredited with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and member internationally with the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP). I worked in the British National Health Service from 2000 to 2008 as an associate psychoanalytic psychotherapist, and in Private Practice with clients in London since 2003, now with 15 years’ experience clinically in Australia.
